amiable staff, luxury hotel with great restaurant. a wide range of food at breakfast, such as croissants and jam. marvellous and fab location - minutes away from matsushima bay.

The staff were cool and helpful. the location is marvellous and unbeatable, within easy walking distance to Matsushima Bay, the waterfront, and the tour boats departure wharf.

Our room was perfectly clean and airy and complete with a clean bathroom. The food was GOOD with a huge variety of choice! The hotel had great staff members. The location was great and fantastic for walking around a Rinzai Zen Buddhist temple.

I absolutely loved the cozy and homey atmosphere of this guesthouse. The decoration was charming, with traditional Japanese elements combined with modern touches. The common areas were inviting and comfortable, perfect for relaxing and socializing with other guests. As a senior woman, I really appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. The hallways were wide and well-lit, making it easy for me to navigate with my mobility limitations.

My only request for a better vacation for senior people would be for the children working there to provide more assistance with carrying luggage.

Charming guesthouse with very friendly owner. Excellent location, just a short walk from the train station and the boat pier. the place was very clean and modern. One evening we had a dinner with the owner and his wife, which was a very enjoyable experience.

No towels provided, but available for rent at a small fee. It would have been helpful if there was a way to dry the towels after use.
